Problem
This technote contains information about removing a temporary IBM庐 Rational庐 license key from the IBM Rational License Key Administrator. SymptomWhen a temporary nodelocked or floating license expires, the license line in the Rational License Key Administrator changes to red. Resolving The Problem
Note: The following directions also apply when you want to delete temporary license keys that have not expired yet. Delete an expired nodelocked temporary license If you wish to delete all temporary nodelocked keys on the machine, you can delete the entire rational_temp.dat file. You can find the rational_temp.dat file in the following folder: \Program Files\Rational\Common For example: C:\Program Files\Rational\Common Note: The file will re-create itself without the keys. If you want to delete specific temporary nodelocked keys, follow these steps. Open the rational_temp.dat file with a text editor. You can find the rational_temp.dat file in the following folder: \Program Files\Rational\Common For example: C:\Program Files\Rational\Common. Find the INCREMENT line for the desired key. Delete the entire INCREMENT line for that key. Save the file.Delete an expired floating temporary license If you want to delete all temporary floating keys from the license server you can delete the entire rational_server_temp.dat file.
